Go Flight Modules

Featured Replies

goflight config needs to see fsx. exe file so it thinks it's programming for that.  you can do full install of fsx or try just the fsx.exe file if your able to extract it from the dvd.  when you select sim info as fsx  goflight looks for the fsx. exe so you might need to tell gflight where to find it.

If you find switches work but no leds light then you need to youtube search blank saitek display.  that should get leds to light.  only module I can't get to work is efis but some efis functions can be programmed with the rp48 panel

Thanks for the info, I will try to setup FSX again and see how it works.

Hi,

I have 15 GF modules and the problem is USB that did work OK till Windows7 came out. Each module has a firmware and the oldest exemplars (like mines) cannot work with actual Windows software. GF gave me a software that can check the modules, but i needed to send the modules back GIT to flash a new firmware and the coast for that was not too expensive for me in europe. A friend with younger modules could use his stuff with p3D V5, but with MSFS + GIT, no way. The GIT soft contains some features that can solve a lot but not everything. Since P3D V4, I don't remember that i could achieve a full flight without loosing one or the other module; And with MSFS, it is a nightmare. So my modules are unplugged, i'll build my own cockpit and use some GF electronic components like dual encoders, Trim mechanism and so. With freeware tools like Mobiflight, a 3D printer and a cheap CNC machine, It's easy to get better quality panels.

There are other threads here telling GF company is dead.

Regards

You may not need the real fsx.exe.

Create an empty txt file and rename it to fsx.exe and point Goflight config to it.
Think we had this same problem when P3D first came out and this was a workaround.

Another option is to use Spad.NEXT software that has native support built-in for the goflight hardware (MCP and EFIS)

I went to the Spad.next page, and it says that it is a utility for Saitek devices

Thanks for your suggestion, I decided to install FSX and placed it on a near empty drive, had to reinstall the GF 2.28 driver. Now my RP-48 and

GF-46 working fine, after quite a while not being able to use them.

Thanks.

I tried my dummy fsx.exe idea and I could not get it to work so good to know the install worked.

It works with both vendors.

if you look at the change log on this page you will see goflight hardware support. It definitely works with the go flight mcp pro and efis.

Has anyone out there had much success with making their GoFlight products work in FS2020? I've tried the GoFlight interface and it's very unstable. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead, because I finally had enough turning knobs with a mouse, so I decided to see if any goflight drivers were released.

This thread:

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/goflight-products-now-compatible-with-fs-2020-really-yes-kind-of/250826/163

It motivated me to re-install FSX just to get my modules to light up and work. To my surprise, my LGT, Throttle, and RP48 work with MSFS.

I use my add-on linker to start "GFDevFSX.exe" so I don't have to load it manually.

Just a HU for anyone who wants t try it.
