October 27, 20205 yr Isn’t it suppose to be snowing in Aspen? Maybe the sim creates fog due to lack of snow falling weather graphic? Chris Camp
October 27, 20205 yr Wow that looks great. I always hand fly approaches from 3000ft in the A320 regardless of weather and that looks seriously challenging. That looks an awesome place fly to right now. Shame I am at work! Edited October 27, 20205 yr by sanh

Not sure myself, not American, but I guess that makes sense somewhat in terms of visibility drawbacks in sim. Would be cool either way.

From my testing, snow only appears in MSFS if the outside temperature is below zero. Like if you go to weather presets, select rain but the modify the outside temperature, it will start snowing instead. I've noticed this with live weather as well. If it's snowing according to the METAR, but the temperature is too high it appears as rain. Edited October 27, 20205 yr by Tuskin38

October 27, 20205 yr yes, there is snow on the ground in ASPEN but not snowing right now, nor clouds, nor fog etc. blue sky, as in Meteo-BLUE. but there the similarity ends: AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.

I still enjoyed the mess it caused on departure. Was glorious!
October 27, 20205 yr the weather does seem to have a sync issue, showing something from behind or ahead.
October 27, 20205 yr "I still enjoyed the mess it caused on departure. Was glorious! " this is why simulated, yet wrong weather, can sometimes be more fun than as real as it gets. you would not have flown there at today's weather: "The airport has several published non-precision instrument approaches. All are "circle-to-land;" the lowest gets you down to 2,000' AGL. All require three miles of flight visibility to continue below minimum descent altitude. These approaches often leave Aspen below minimums." besides: RESTRICTED TO MAXIMUM ACFT WINGSPAN OF 95 FT. Airbus A320: wingspan of 35.8 meters = 117.42 ft thanks for all the cookies. very welcome replacement for the delayed update 5.
