October 28, 20205 yr In what appears to be a never ending string of bugs with this game I’ve now been experiencing nearly every flight the PFD on the G1000 172 freezing completely mid flight. Speed tape and altitude tape go frozen, a white line goes diagonal from top left to bottom right and I can’t get the autopilot to adjust anything. Any clue why this is happening? it seems like nearly every airplane I fly( the a320 and now the 172) are destroyed by terrible programming in this game. Still trying to like it but it’s becoming impossible
October 28, 20205 yr I agree and think its about time MS focused on fixing the basics. John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
October 28, 20205 yr When you experience this, press the FLTPLN button on the PFD. Causing the PFD to display this also forces it to start refreshing again.

When I changed the refresh rate to Medium, the problem went away for me, for the G1000, Cessna 172. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I do have the current Working Title mod in use. I have had refresh rate set to medium. I have just set it to high to see what happens. Also, when my MFD locks up, the engine monitoring locks, and my mouse pointer changes to this: ↨ It still works, but It no longer changes shape when positioned at tuning knobs. Thanks- I’ll see if that helps. We all are being exceptionally patient with this game. I’m not really sure how all these problems with basic aspects of the game like the simple 172, which should be very easy to create are not even polished up before they are released. It seems more and more like this game took on WAY to much when it was released.

I am not using any mods for the G1000. So the Medium refresh rate fix for me was for the default G1000. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
January 30, 20215 yr Got MS 2020 set up today and did a couple of 152 flights. So far the sim looks good, but the bugs crop up on almost every flight, making a flight of around a hundred miles almost impossible. Twice the yoke has frozen mid flight. like the the aircraft autopilot is on , but the 152 doesn't have an autopilot. On one flight I got a CTD. about 50 miles out. Not very encouraging so far especially since my P3D was virtually bug free and hasn't crashed in over a year and a half. Oh well, I will se what tomorrow brings. One hour later, I decided to take one more flight and this time I flew the C 172 with the steam gauges, a plane I flew quite a bit it real life. It flew perfectly, no issues at all, stable, easy to control and land and the auto pilot worked flawlessly as well as the ATC. I was impressed. 😀 Edited January 30, 20215 yr by Bobsk8
