It was lovely to fly in there (26L) this morning from a red-eye from Geneva in the bus. Visual memory was there from when I had the ukscenery 2000 version. The default msfs2020 Gatwick didn't even begin to resemble the real thing with it's silly two towers, flat white slabs in the wrong place and white aprons.

A great mod in every way. The details here and there are staggering. . .

Look... there are a 100 things wrong with the sim at the moment- but here are two that are really, really trying to get it right...

Yes, there are miles to go- but I enjoyed my positioning flight from Stansted... and remain obliged to the FBW Team and its continuing work on the A320 mod as well as to @mkvy who is doing a brilliant job on getting Gatwick looking like Gatwick.  These two bodies of work cannot be unappreciated- and will not be, by me.

PS- the FBW mod and the possibilities I see within the team keep me up at night.  If these gents succeed in their goal- WATCH OUT!

PPS- Can some kind soul tell me how to CHECK the Cabin and remove the BLUE ECAM message for TO/Landing please?

Just downloaded nice!  Amazing how good some freeware is.

5.4 is now available - slightly smaller file size than 5.3 so I think some optimisation has been done.

https://flightsim.to/file/2774/gatwick-airport-egkk

p.s; C- clear the Cabin message by pressing any of the Call buttons on the left of the Overhead.

Clear the T/O Config ECAM by pressing CLR and it will clear in time.

Will try that, thanks Will.

Re. TO Config check- there’s a dedicated button for that on the Forward Pedestal... just by the ECAM Screen Selectors.

Looking forward to trying out v5.4!

Indeed. Hit that to check you're good to go.

One big tip; MAX braking is usually selected as part of the Before Take Off Checklist items BUT, due to a bug in the sim any touching of the toe brakes during taxi and/ or Line-up will result in the MAX braking switching off - so make it the last thing you do once you're lined up and about to stabilise the donks to 40%.

The Takeoff Config ECAM will clear as you take off.

TO Config hasn’t come back for me after clearing...

MAX brake indeed doesn’t stick... I tend to set it each flow check and then again and again... they will fix that soon.

The big thing for me at the moment is thrust indication, breakaway thrust and flight path.  Systems are coming online at a good clip.

BUT, we really ought to take this elsewhere... this is after all supposed to be about Gatwick... and it is very good and GETTING EVEN BETTER!!

Indeed it is. I took off from there this morning with real weather and found myself enveloped in thick fog - which was 100% accurate this morning.

Sorry I didn't get a screenshot - I was enjoying it too much. It is a thing of beauty this airport.

You need to press one of the fwd/aft/all call buttons on the bottom left of the overhead panel. You also need to press the T/O config test button as others have said, but I don't think that's what you were asking.
