November 4, 20205 yr Appalachian Autumn Starting from Blacksburg Virginia we head west into West Virginia. Staying low we will attempt to follow the New River as it twists and winds into the Allegheny Front. After flying under the New River Bridge we exit the New River Gorge and fly northeast to land at Summersville (KSXL). The route continues to the east re-crossing the Allegheny Front near Cass followed by a landing at Green Bank (WV52). Departing to the east we cross the Shenandoah Mountains and land at Shenandoah Valley Airport (KSHD). Heading northeast and just past New Market Gap we land at Luray (KLUA). Continuing north past Signal Knob (the northern tip of Massanutten Mountain) we see the full width of Shenandoah Valley with the Blue Ridge to the east and the Shenandoah Mountains to the west. We land at the Eastern W Va Regl/Shepherd (KMRB) in Martinsburg West Virginia. Continuing north across the Potomac River and overflying Maryland without a landing we proceed directly to Mifflin County (KRVL). Passing by State College just to our west we land at Piper Memorial (KLHV) at Lock Haven on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. A long last leg to the south east will take us to our final destination: Reading Regional/Spaatz (KRDG). Recommended Aircraft: The route is 456 miles in length so we will want to fly an aircraft capable of better than 230knts of cruise speed. Those who intend to fly down in the New River Gorge will want an aircraft capable of quickly changing direction. I will fly the RealAir Lancair Legacy. Other suitable aircraft would be the T-28 and most warbirds. The King Air or Turbine Duke will also work but might fly the New River section in a more responsible manner. Recommended Scenery: New River Gorge Bridge (highly recommended for those who intend to fly under the bridge. It is not depicted in default scenery.) November 7, 20205 yr Hard drive pouched- And the OS drive at that - as well as a windows 10 stopcode -IRQ issue!!! ARG!!! Hence the reason that my sims wouldn't run right.. everything was running slow!! Two new SSD now in.. and working on redoing the OS and the rest!!! Should be up and running in an hour or so.. then will redo MS2020 from scratch.. Will be humming by year's END!!! lol.. All say, won't be flying today!!!! (But maybe tomorrow?) Norm
