November 6, 20205 yr As the title says I have tried everything, followed every guide on the internet and my computer just refused to download FS2020. Finally I decided to give the Steam download a try. I'm very happy to say it worked as it should have. So anyone trying to jump through all the hoops with Microsoft apps and still failing, just get it through steam. It does ask for your windows password upon download but then starts the download right away, no errors or pausing or crashing. It just works like it should. Much easier process. I hope this helps others having difficulties. So now that I have flown around for an hour or two, my quick impression is.... holy "word not allowed". It looks absolutely incredible. Now is it perfect? Well no, it has its limitations, but hopefully with time it will improve. I agree with other comments I have read, its great for small planes flying VFR, but P3D is NOT leaving my HD anytime soon. November 6, 20205 yr Doubles my experience ... two months ago. I really don't undertstand why MS doesn't get their Store straight if they want to push their games. It may work for some ... and sometimes, but it's generally labile and error-prone. Here's another recent prominent victim https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/588828-msfs-cannot-be-found-error/ Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
November 6, 20205 yr Do you need to buy it again on steam or does it work with my Microsoft iD alone to download from steam if I bought originally via MS Store? November 6, 20205 yr No, you need to buy it again, from Steam. I was within the time limit and got money back for the MS Store version (after a bit of trouble, honestly) Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11

Kind regards, Michael It really seems to work well for the vast majority of purchasers including myself and I have purchased 4 addons thru the store as well--why it fails for some is an interesting question. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/588646-installation-woes-via-ms-store-how-widespread/ Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
