I installed auto season, have southern hemisphere selected, live in South Africa, but it auto installed winter. it is summer here, any suggestions?

Hi Kurt, That's because the app is searching for the multi season update (winter/summer). This is an update that will be done in the next couple of days and you can download for free. For now, just choose summer.

Edit: I am making updates everyday.. so this is a new feature that was requested many times.

Thanks

Bijan

Sorry to bother you Bijan but i have some troubles to get the automatic installer to work. It can't find the community folder himself so i have to put it in myself. Ok so far so good. But when i select the season i'd like to install and hit the install button i get the following error: "failure:System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException:"

Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

I am running the steam version and MSFS is installed on a dedicated SSD.

Thanks in advance!

It should install it automatically.

Did you watch the video?

Since you entered the path manually you need to press the green "OK".  Once you click ok, it should say "done" under it. Then select season and install.

When you select a season, it should show a message which season you selected in "chosen season".  Make sure it says that before you hit install.

Yepp, did chose winter and hit install. Still no success. Seems like i'll have to install it manually then.

Maybe the path you entered is wrong. Start over and let the program find the path, It will look for community folder in all drives starting "C" drive.

It finds one path on drive C which is the wrong one. Mine is located on another drive. For some reason the installer can't find the actual one.

Oh that's why. Just curious why you have two. It confuses the program since you have one that's not a real one.

What you can do is install it in the c and then drag the folder to the real one, wherever you have it.

Just tried the following, i deleted the unused community folder in order to not confuse the installer but it still cant find the actual community folder for some reason.

I'll work on that tomorrow. Thanks for your help so far!

I'm in the same situation, the software can't find the correct "Community" folder.  It found a CommunityPanel on my C drive that's within Windows Apps (heavily protected), but when I try to install a season there I get an error that it is write protected.  If I manually enter the correct path which is on my F drive, it won't accept it.  I'm okay with manually applying it into the Community folder, but the idea of an installer was nice.  By the way, you mentioned there is an update soon to be available, but how do you get these updates?  Do you redownload from simmarket, or is there another means?
