What are your LOD sliders set to? Maybe could be the reason for the stutters on approach.

Object & Terrain LODs are both 100. I went straight from here and did approaches at Olbia & Copenhagen to check I hadn't broken something in the sim by mistake, and they were both smooth.

I was about to buy this but the stutters are bad.

I have LOD  200 Ultra setting can others give there feed back, this review was off putting on a scenery I was looking forward to.

Smooth like silk on my aging 2600K.

I know for a fact that there are settings in the nVidia CP that cause stutters, but MSFS is a complex beast. It could be anything from a setting to a data issue.

Don't dis the 2600K, it continues to give terrific service. Salzburg is indeed 'Smooth like Silk' and with a 1070 Strix!

EDIT:

Oh, and stop fiddling with the Nvidia CP. No good comes of it. 🙂

Another EDIT:

LOD 140

Oh I forgot that I have a Titan (Pascal) and 32GIGS of RAM. 😀

Thanks Ron and DJ for you encouraging feed back.

It might be a bit more expensive than other smaller airports but this is an incredibly good looking piece of scenery. No stutters here, all on ultra (rtx 3080). I particularly like that they have modelled all the buildings in the vicinity of the airport. It really adds to the experience when approaching this airport. Now only MS/Asobo have to implement better mesh so that the quality of the surrounding mountains matches that of the airport and this will be a hell of a place to fly.

I have a system very similar to yours, and I get stutters at the default LOWS too, so might not be Digital Design's issue.

Thanks for the reviews. Keep up the good work.

I'm glad others are experiencing smooth performance on systems similar to mine. I hope I was clear when talking about the stutters that others may have a better experience. All I can do with these reviews is say what I see really, but I'll add some text to the video description pointing out that others are faring better.

Actually I should have added..A very well done review. 👍

A very well done review, MrFilbert! Having subscribed to your channel since a few months I have to say that I very much like the style you do your reviews.

And your assumption about the snow textures is correct. During development and testing we were also a bit unhappy about this. But default airports like Hiroshima show the same behavior unfortunately. Hopefully a future core sim update will improve this.

And no stuttering for me too during the beta with my 7700k and a 1080ti with settings on High/LOD 100. But make sure to contact support or chime in on our Facebook Group if you still encounter this problem.
