For the first year in a while, I am not really sure what to buy in this huge sale, but I have definately bought these ones.

As I fly both sims, I am still unsure which one to invest in.

is Vancouver memory resource extensive?? louisville with its main UPS base is hard for me to resist

I am embarrassed to say that during last November Black Friday last year, I bought FSDT klax and Memphis BUT am afraid to install those for past 12 months into my FSX Deluxe with SP1 and SP2!!!! Even though I have 14 years of experience of FSX flight simming and payware airport scenery installation!! ha ha ha ha

Are FSDT sceneries trouble free during installation and use?

Can't really comment on their sceneries, since I only own GSX. The installation was smooth as butter. It has had its bugs from time to time, but they are regularly updating it and resolving issues. No notable impact on performance as far as I've noticed. All in all, a great product!

PS. I wouldn't be too concerned installing the airports. If they cause any issues, just un-install them😉

I purchased Louisville as I wanted an airport between the East coast and Chicago. Only a tenner so a bargain. Didn’t realise until I loaded it that it’s a UPS hub but at least there are a few pax gates.

Was rather less impressed that the installer decided to check all my FSDT airports and GSX and then updated the lot. I wish it wouldn’t do that or at least give me the option. I don’t feel I have control of my system. It then rechecked all my registrations and made backups of my reg files which I already had.

I’ve been holding back from updating GSX as I’ve had problems with P3D v3.4 and CTDs at certain positions which was only resolved by uninstalling GSX and reinstalling. Fingers crossed they don’t reoccur.

 

Ray -- I think you have a typo -- it is Louisville not Louisiana. I call that a 'spello' where autocorrect changes the word to something different.

I tried FSDT KMEM and klax that I bought from last year. NOTHING WORKS.

I have 12 years of experience of installing FSX sceneries from all payware companies such as Aerosoft, FlyTampa, etc etc BUT nothing from FSDT sceneries work in FSX. It keeps telling me that Norton Anti Virus is blocking it even though I followed their instructions to add FSDT Add-on Manager to exclusion list.

Spent 1 or 2 hours trying to get it working.  Gave up and swallowed loss of money unless somebody wants to buy from me but I doubt copyright laws allow it

Glad that I did NOT buy more from FSDT today. I understand why FSDT is selling their FSX sceneries so cheap at PC Aviator and Simmarket because it is totally impossible to get it working and it is ANNOYING to see FSDT hijacking the FSX module

@Aharon, why don’t you temporarily stop your AV and fire up FSX. I agree the FSDT products have a unique system but they work fine once you understand how the process works.

You need to make sure Couatl.exe and Addon Manager have full permissions and are running. They control all the visibility of the FSDT airports and operation of GSX.

You cannot resell products you have bought as it breaches the terms of the license.

Why don't you file a trouble ticket with FSDT? Considering the huge number of copies of FSDT products sold, there must be something unique on his system.

Aharon, you really shouldn’t give up. As pgde has said raise a ticket on the FSDT forum. The support from Umberto is legendary. Clearly something is wrong on your system because thousands have FSDT products running on FSX.

If I’d spent all that money I certainly wouldn’t give up without exhausting every possibility. Complaining here is no good. Get yourself over to FSDT and good luck.
