San Francisco flight after the update..

Featured Replies

I flew a familiar flight out of KHAF today and noticed that the cliffs are indeed much more rugged and realistic than before, the whole flight over KSFO and downtown San Fransisco was very nice indeed...

Little wrinkle... with Photogrammetry enabled, Candlestick park is there.. with it disabled, it has been demolished, as indeed it has been since 2015..

Big world.. much to see 🙂

I bet the 49ers wish it were there so they could have a home game, as their own county has banned all contact sports for the next three weeks.

The Bing data being used in at least some areas is over 5 years old; the Lincoln Bridge in Louisville opened about 5 years ago this week and in the sim is shown as still under construction, with only the beginnings of some piers in place. I had hoped that the update would give us some newer up to date data but unfortunately that didn't happen. I hope to see someone do some mods for Louisville including updating the main airport here at some point. Patience is the word...

Perhaps in another update next year some Bing data will get a major facelift.

KSDF will likely be our next release for MSFS. Good pointer about the bridge, we'll look into that.

Glad to hear that, I'll be watching for it! Not to be greedy 😉, but are you considering adding some night lighting to a few of the downtown buildings? Louisville is a photogrammetry city...

The problem with photogrammetry cities, is that you cannot enhance them very easily, the only thing you can do is to "squash" them on the ground, and replace with your own custom models. This is a bit outside the scope of our airport.

Nice!  Looking forward to it!

Please do KFLL again for MSFS... Really miss your latest version from P3D!

That's fine, I'm thankful your team is doing KSDF and hopefully may be able to add the Lincoln bridge. Thanks, and will be looking forward to it!

For good reason... and SF county would probably do the same if any league were running.
