Really tempted to get a VR. Only thing concerning my is how much FPS needed in order to have smooth true to life experience ? And will micro stutters from scenery loading gonna kill the immersion?

Thanks !

Curious about the replies and feenback of the MSFS VR user experiences ? Thanks to all.

Visually, regarding the expectations on FPS performance, for folk new to VR who expect it to perform the same as a monitor, they may be a little disappointed

though in reality, if you consider the visual detail / lighting effects and what it can achieve for FPS, it's a giant leap forward when you compare it to the second best sims. I can't imagine the competitors coming out with anything close for some time to come

Having used VR in other sims for a while, I think MSFS VR is awesome (but please give us full hand controller support in VR).

Regarding FPS I've found anything above 30 is fine, if it dips into the 20s it gets a bit laggy. Compare that to sim racing where i need 90 constantly it's a huge change, i notice the lower FPS but it's not "needed" in a plane looking at scenery unlike being in a race car where it must remain fluid at all times.

What is "re-projection"?   Is that the VR headset interpolating frames so that your eyes see 90fps even if the sim is only generating 30fps?

I thought people get motion sick if their eyes are only seeing 30fps?  Just wondering 🤔
