January 3, 20215 yr Before I comment, thanks for these mods, they add a tremendous amount of immersive realism to this sim. I am currently flying in the C208 and have the latest "Working Title G1000" installed and the PFD has suddenly frozen on the Pilot and co-Pilot sides at around 10,000 ft (climbing to FL130). If I go to Outside view my altitude, speed, all indicators are normal. There is just no life to the PFD after installing version 0.3.4. Anyone else see this? January 3, 20215 yr I have had the same thing happen twice in the C208 - I have been using the C208B mod, and this problem occurred after I installed the latest version so I thought that may have caused the issue (not had this problem before that). I have removed it for the time being and have not had the problem occur again so far, but only had a couple of flights. I have the Working Title G1000 mod installed as well, and that is still active.
January 4, 20215 yr I just had this happen to today with the G1000 mod as I was beginning my descent in the Turbo Bonanza. I set up a descent out of 10,000 and the MFD & PFD froze. I checked the backup instruments and they showed I was descending, but I had no navigation info. Finally, out of frustration, I began to throw (or attempt to throw) every switch on the AP - no response. Then I pressed the FLP button and the flight plan window popped and suddenly all the screens were working again. I had to reset my altitude, rate and descent profile, but I was able to shoot a normal approach. Randall Rocke
January 4, 20215 yr Author Thanks for the info guys. I have the latest C208B mod as well, but Cannot go back to the previous mod as I did not save a backup. Maybe I will try the FLP button route and see if that helps. i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |

Pressed the FLP key on the PFD? or on the MFD? I have not had this occur for perhaps 60 days. When it happened it was the MFD that froze up but the PFD was still responsive. The issue though was that the engine instruments were of course on the MFD, and they remained unresponsive/inop. January 4, 20215 yr It was on the PFD. For today, I suddenly had both displays go active after I opened the flight plan. I don't know if this was a one time thing, but I've put the procedure in my emergency procedures file... Randall Rocke
January 4, 20215 yr Can y'all do me a favor and confirm two things: That you're running the latest version of the G1000, 0.3.4? And that you can get this to happen with the mod enabled, but not when it is disabled? If the answer to both of those is "yes", can you then try rolling back to version 0.3.2 and doing the exact same thing that causes a lockup in 0.3.4? I'd like to identify if this is a) an underlying sim bug, and/or b) something we introduced or exacerbated in 0.3.4.

And that you can get this to happen with the mod enabled, but not when it is disabled? OK - now I feel like a fool! I was running 3.0! Prior to a search a few minutes ago, it was the only version I could find when I kept going back to the GitHub page where I downloaded the original mod. Since that was the "G1000 page" I thought I was always getting the latest version. I went back to the G1000 page I had saved and still couldn't find any other versions. Then I decided to take a look at the root it was under which was fspackages. When I went to that page and scanned thru the page to the bottom I found Working Title MSFS Mods and the list of latest versions. Kind of an obtuse organization, but that may be the way GitHub is set up. I also saw your link for updates on Discord, so I should probably get set up there. I have downloaded the latest version and will test it tomorrow. I can verify that the freeze occurred again today, also in the descent to approach (v 3.0). The FLP button again resolved the issue. All of this may have just been due to running an old version... Randall Rocke

I'd like to identify if this is a) an underlying sim bug, and/or b) something we introduced or exacerbated in 0.3.4. My version is 0.3.3 - but the problem started for me after enabling the latest C208B mod. I double checked my Community Folder and found I'd left an older version of the C208 mod in there as well. So I've deleted that and so far no more of the 'freeze'. So in my case it was probably not the Working Title mod causing the issue at all.
January 16, 20215 yr I get a frozen MFD screen if I push the MFD FPL button with a preloaded flightplan. V0.3.4. The flightplan listing shows up, but no map. At that point, there is nothing I can do to recover. Going back to V0.3.2. solves the issue. Edited January 16, 20215 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
