So I just tried on a friends tv monitor.

and the text was fine .

Perhaps drivers may be the culprit?

Changing monitor/TV doesn't change the drivers, it will change the NCP values so maybe look at NCP and make sure you don't have anything set in a profile for P3D or odd scaling options ("Adjust Desktop Size and Position") and output is RGB full.

Disable GeForce Experience overlays and make sure it's not trying to automatically set a game profile for you (i.e. don't scan for games).

Cheers, Rob.

I do not use GeForce experience.

RGB set FULL.

uninstalled p3d via APPS and FEATURES ,users local, roaming. program data F\p3d v5 folder and addons.

sfc scannow is all fine.

running repairs on the C++ or .NET runtime installs.

thanks

Rob,

I just re installed with a fresh P3d install

and same issue persists.

There’s something going with my tv scaling settings but can’t figure it out.

i have updated tv and reset to default.

Everything checks out ok with resolution, as I

Plug the HDMI into other tv.

The scaling is perfectly fine with the drop down menu and shift z text.

im stumped

Cheers

In the NVidia Control Panel (right-click on desktop, choose from popup menu) Display section, there's a page for setting desktop size and position, in there, section 2, there is a scaling mode, Perform scaling on GPU or Display and override scaling set by programs. Perhaps that might alter the behavior?

Thanks Steve.

I’ll have to double check.

Unfortunately, this thread has now drifted so far away from the thread topic that it is borderline ridiculous ... I know Steve and Rob are only trying to help, but ...

@mikeymike Please refrain from hijacking threads - you jumped into this one at post #3 despite already having another thread running:

Hi Mike! I am also sorry to see you suffering with this. But to be honest, @SierraDelta is right or? 😉

Would it be better to use your other topic with this issue titled? Maybe someone else is recognizing your issue, based on a appropriate title, and has a solution for you....and all others can use this thread as it was intended to be...

Would be great!

Thanks and I do hope you understand......both parties will participate from that.

I do hope you get solutions on your issue. It is a nasty one....

Best regards, Marcus

Update,

so if I load the sim in windowed mode for the first time. And close the sim in windowed mode all is well.

now if I open sim and then go into full screen mode and then close the sim in full screen mode and then restart the sim going into full screen mode. Drop down menu and shift z text is corrupted.

i don’t know if this this a driver issue or a bug?

can some else please test? To see if it’s just on my system.

thanks

Mike. How is it possible to open the sim in windowed mode for the FIRST time (.......after you deleted the config file to let the sim build a new one OR a fresh install)? Normally the sim would start in full screen mode then.

What you mean by "the first time"?

Also not clear is

Open the sim in full screen and close in full screen. Then open it "and going into full screen mode*.....

Normally the sim opens in that mode you closed it the last time (based on values in the config file). Why you are "going into full screen" again? Did it not starr in full screen, therefore in windowed mode?

Hi Marcus,

correct when I rebuild the cfg it goes into windowed mode. Then if i go into full screen and close the sim in full screen and restart it will load in full screen and thus corrupt the menu and text.

thanks
