If I go to my pilot profile, it says my lowest altitude flown was -3958.58 meters.  Beat that! 😀😀😀

Okay... I added the speed which the Earth is orbiting the sun, to my Vref airspeed in the Beech 99 earlier. This means I actually brought that sucker in for a landing, travelling backwards, at well over sixty-seven thousand mph. 🤣

This proves that andyjohnston.net has indeed gone to hell and back.

Every 10 metres of depth adds 100kpa hull pressure.

That would be one heck of a submarine 😄

A Yellow Submarine IS a heck of a submarine. Not at all like those wimpy Ohio-class boats.

Yeah, but that still doesn't clarify who was playing that cool guitar part on It's All Too Much.

We haven't had a good modern submarine game in forever, since Dangerous Waters in 2005.

Maybe Microsoft can partner with Sonalysts and get that party started again, while they are reviving simulator types.

Nothing like a sim with a 400 page manual where you spend hours developing a firing solution to fire one torpedo!

If you like WW2 subs, and specifically Type VIIs, UBoat (from 2018) is an okay sub sim. Not as super-duper realistic as some sims, but a pretty entertaining take on commanding a sub all the same and graphically it is very nice:

It'll be interesting to see if the reborn Microprose have a stab at something, since they are currently developing a few naval sims. and of course a new version of the Mighty Eighth:
