Saving and loading exact plane location

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to save a flight and then load the flight so the plane is in the exact location and viewpoint? It has to be in the air and not on ground.

I tried showcase, external and drone camera but it doesn't load the exact viewpoint or location as it was saved.

For example this angle. I want to be able to save and load the flight to this position:

Thanks in advance.

Gaming Laptop:
MSI GS75 Stealth 5.6GHz Intel Core i9 - 10th gen 16 core CPU  -  32 GB DDR4 SDRAM  - 1TB SSD - RTX 2080 Super - 1920x1080 - 3 fans and cooling pipes.

It can't be done.

You leave an aircraft in flight - it's moving at anything from 80 kts to 530 kts (faster for the supersonics)  - depending on what it is - I wouldn't be worrying about where I left it, I'd be worrying about whether or not I was wearing a chute.

Useless answer - but I'm a useless guy.

I think FS Playground could do it.

FStarter from rksoftware can maybe help you. You can save a POI and load it later and also change the weather, time etc. via MSFS deffault system.

You want to exit change the terrain files to a different season and reload to the same point and camera view in the air ?

What if you save a new POI  ?

Yes...

By reading the link, it looks like adding a POI is very complicated. I am not sure if it would do what I intend to do though.

I appreciate your response.

With FStarter you save and load a POI with a mouse click, that is all.

When I use to fly in Xp11 were ever i landed i would taxi to the gate and shut the plane down and then next time i loaded up XP11 the plane would be in exactly the same place as were I left it and thats how I like to fly......now I know FS2020 cant do that but as mentioned above can FS playground do it because if it does i will buy it.....anybody use it, can it do that???

Thanks

I must be missing something in your question, because I save flights by just hitting ESC and then using the save/load feature. Restarting that saved flight recreates the exact same plane, location, and conditions I had before.

It would only open in default position with other texts and flight information window on screen. Check the original picture Bijan posted and notice the position. You can not do that with save and load flight.

Fstarter doesn't do it. It only saves the horizontal position. It won't save it if you have your plane in the position Bijan has posted.

Not only that, not if you go to the newly made POI, the plane is not pausing. So you can not save the paused position in the air.

I did it by the following steps.

I used slew mode to take the plane to the area I want the plane to be,,, but on ground. In my case, near Eiffel tower. The sim saves and loads the exact position if the airplane is on ground.

Then I used drone camera with highest speed zoom and using arrow keys. I counted 10 keystroke to go up and 5 keystrokes to go left and 2 keystroke to point the plane down. I took a screenshot and loaded the next season and loaded the flight and used the same arrow keys to take the plane to exact spot in the air. Same steps for all seasons.

Below is the transicion of all 4.
