January 25, 20215 yr If THAT title doesn't nab ya...nothing will! LOL. Anyway...had a nice, leisurely flight from KTPA to Key West. After I landed, I parked my Mooney in my private hangar there (hey, a guy can dream!)....and after putting her to bed...I noticed a TBM flying over the airport from mainland, about 100 ft agl, hauling butt. Not that it was that unusual (given the crazy stuff some simmers do).....I put on data tags to see who it was. No data tag! No big deal, but then about 5 mins later, another.....just like it, same heading, speed, alt. Intrigued, I followed this one....seeing the 1st in the distance....then looked behind me...sure enough, another one....hmmmmm. Now...they are running in the wrong direction...but maybe returning the high-value assets of the drug cartel? This game makes you wonder sometimes.....hey! I wonder if the radar balloons down there are in the sim? Will have to look for them! TJINVA was not one of the planes....his tag was just there as he was off by Key West (This is a view looking back towards the airport several miles out) Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
January 25, 20215 yr Haven't you ever wondered when you randomly spawn in an aircraft at some remote location how it got there ? Clearly MS have hired a virtual battalion of AI pilots to ferry those aircraft all over the world for our use and they are scud running to avoid interfering with normal ops conducted by us humans.
January 25, 20215 yr It might be drug-running aircraft... or it might not be... Who's asking? Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. January 25, 20215 yr Alright who bought the F-15...we’ve got a mission for you. 🙂 Drug runners should be more careful about their transponder use so they don’t end up getting busted by flight simmers lol Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
January 25, 20215 yr I followed the Virgin Orbit 747 all the way through dropping and launching their first successful orbital launch on the 17th. It was delayed about 5-10 min from realtime but the entire flight was there, even the pullup maneuver where the rocket is released. Of course it showed up as a generic 747 livery with no rocket on the wing, but it was still pretty neat to see a unique one off flight (pegged as KHMV-KHMV on the flight tracking websites) show up as live traffic. I saw one of the firefighting 747s in California a few months back. I was doing a passenger flight so I didn’t go over to watch it, but I saw the callsign pop up.
