Nvidia 461.40 is out

went through the hassle to delete all nvidia driver files and now MS set me back to 456.71. will check in an instance how that behaves

I had some CTD with the driver before this latest one, but after getting a tip to roll back to 457.30 all was fine and stable again, so it might be worth trying if you have CTD problems.

System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

I updated to this 461.40 driver yesterday. And I've had a couple of issues that didn't exist prior to the update:

- In some scenarios I will get a blue flicker on my monitor, but only when looking at the reflecting sun on the aircraft surface in outside view. I had it with the Carenado Waco with the blue livery (haven't tried other liveries yet).

- I have a dual monitor setup, and I like watching Youtube documentaries or podcasts on my smaller monitor while flying on my main monitor. But after this driver update, Youtube videos will stutter (both audio and video) if I fly on my main monitor at the same time. (Previously I was able to do this with my 2080 Super, later 3070 and now my 3090. So it's not a hardware issue, it's software).

The previous driver was working fairly well so I regret updating to this one.

I have notis the same flicker problem with this driver, I have roll back to 457.30 and all is fine again.

I'm glad you could confirm this is a driver issue, and not anything else.
I'll probably roll back to the previous driver as that one worked fine for me.

I think I'm going to give the new driver a miss and stick with what I've got.  Everything is running well and I cannot see any gains to be made with the new drivers.

How did you do that? Did you use this DDU tool or however it is called? I always have problems when trying to roll-back drivers, the nvidia driver installation throws out an error message

i think Nvidia stated since 461.09 driver update  they fixed some security flaws/vulnerabilities

Don't know if its a good idea to rollback drivers
