I forgot there is another older hangar in back of the new one. After they built the new one and screwed up my view, I had forgotten there was another one behind it. From what I understand from a guy I know who works over there, they are going to build another big hangar on that empty spot that used to be part of the diagonal runway. Once it’s built I’ll have no view at all and might as well move 😂😂 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
February 16, 20215 yr Snow cover is now also working in the sim in New York State, where it has not in the past. We did have a big storm last night, but it turned into more of a freezing rain / sleet event than snow, but many parts of upstate still have at least 1 foot or more of snow cover from a storm last week, and it is present in the sim. Just did a quick flight from KSYR to KBGM, and there was snow everywhere, just as there is in r/w. It appears that the snow system is now indeed working as originally promised in December - if the MeteoBlue snow coverage map shows snow on the ground, then it will also be found in those locations in the sim. February 17, 20215 yr I am finding that the sim is showing snow on the ground where it should be showing. The only complaint I have is that most runways, taxiways and aprons (not to mention roads) are also snow covered, where I'd assume that the snow would have at least been cleared away. Sure, if there is actual snow falling, then yeah, they might be covered. But if not, then they should be clear. A small nitpick to be sure, and I'm not even sure that it is currently technically possible to have snow on the ground but clear elsewhere, although I have seen the odd bit of taxiway or apron without snow cover... ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.
