I always remove everything before an update, then test the sim to see where add-ons are still needed and put them back.

In general, to avoid issues and speed up the loading time, I keep only the add-ons I'm gonna use. It's pointless to keep Iceland overhaul if I plan to fly in Italy, etc.

yep.

I also remove aircraft that I rarely fly and add them back if and when I need them.  The aircraft selector UI has Insufficient filtering options and having everything show up whether you intend to fly it or not is annoying.

Hopefully they have fixed SimDisconnect ....🤓

I remove everything before installing just because it's one less thing to troubleshoot if there is a problem.

Does it still happen to you at any particular location or everywhere?. I should have hundreds of airports with cgl files and didn't have a CTD with Bing data ON.

Cheers, Ed

Everywhere with an add on airport that has a CGL file.  This is a known issue.

Yes, I know it's a known issue, since last Friday I think.

Maybe I'm just fortunate, lots of CGL files here on my add-ons. BING data ON, and no CTDs. Flying mostly in Europe (France, Italy) and the Caribbean (Dominican Rep.). Just came out from a flight in Lyon-France.

I'm really sorry for people having CTDs caused by this.

Only stuff I remove are things that override default files, like the A320X mod. Everything else I keep in there.

Been doing this since the start, haven't had any issues with patching.
