Bert, you live in a beautiful area. I was just in Victoria before everything got shut down. We drove up from Portland and took the ferry across. I am very much looking forward to going back once this is all over. I took my daughter to the Butterfly museum which probably isn't too far from you, we had a great time.

I have a plan to mount it on top of an old tower computer case I have.  This should position it somewhat low and to the right, roughly where it would be in real life

Interesting approach.

Will think about it

Thanks

I have a relative that lives on San Juan Island, right on the Haro Strait.   You can see across to Vancouver Island / just north of Victoria there.  Some neat things there, like Roche Harbor.

I was struck by just how COLD the water was.  It was July with temps pushing 80F, but the water was really cold.  It's strange going down to the water and feeling the cold radiating from it.
