February 19, 20215 yr LOL! The cockpit space space is the same in all of my aircraft.... I never tried the 850. February 19, 20215 yr If you are prepared to go to using twin rubber bands, the FlySimWare C441 Conquest II is well worth a look for a good turbine engine simulation in P3D, although be aware that this aeroplane simulates the Garrett TPE331 turboprops found on the real thing; these are geared-drive engines. One's the Milviz Beech Kingair 350i, with a good rendition of the Collins Proline 21 integrated avionics suite, and the other is the Majestic Dehavilland DHC8 Q400, a turboprop small airliner. Agree wholeheartedly with these two recommendations. For a single, I would highlight the Milviz PC6 Porter, which although technically hasn't had a P3D5 compatibility update released, will run quite happily with marginal jiggery-pokery. February 19, 20215 yr @gaab I assume that you have an adequate chair and the monitor is positioned appropriately for posture? Looking at photos of real cockpits it appears that the throttle quadrant (unless it's like the Twin Otter and it's overhead!) is not in line with the yoke. The quadrant always appears to be slightly lower. Perhaps you might be able to affix the quadrant under the desk as opposed to on top of it and try that? February 19, 20215 yr HighByPass, I think that it should be a little bit lower as you suggest, but also more distant from the yoke (on the left and behind) to have the arm more extended. I have still to find the corresponding desk arrangement... 😉 Gérard

Wow! My experience is 180° opposite that. My desk ht is 31". Seat ht is 21". I am 5'9". My arrangement is perfect. If anything is a bit off it is the vertical distance to the rudder pedals, which is likely three or four inches of reach longer and lower than the Beech Baron 55 I ride right seat in from time to time. Obviously this throttle quad is higher than in that Baron, but so have all my previous desk mounted quads, most recently a pair of Saitek USB quadrants. Virtually no difference. See that desk drawer I have pulled out on the right? In any case it would prevent me from mounting a quadrant lower and further right. That said, this arrangement is near is near perfect fit for my flying environment, which is not 24/7 dedicated to simulation. And that compact keyboard sit stable across the divide between the two housings and is much improved over reaching to a credenza off to my left. February 19, 20215 yr I would second Kevin’s recommendation of the milviz PC6, very clear and smooth electromechanical instruments and a very nice flight model, and even better with the navstax radios added. 787 captain. This should position it somewhat low and to the right, roughly where it would be in real life with a lot of aircraft not-named-Twin-Otter/C182 etc. If you have a similar-sized object you might consider something like what I'm planning.
