March 14, 20215 yr Interesting comparison, but I think if one really wanted to showcase the best P3D can manage and what MSFS might then shoot for, the gold standard for an A320 for a home-based flight sim such as P3D would be the Flight Sim Labs A320 rather than the Aerosoft one. Not that the Aerosoft one is a bad product, and it's certainly cheaper than the FSL offering, but even by Aerosoft's admission, theirs is not a product shooting for word not allowed the expense realism. For everyday typical flight simming, the Aerosoft one is great, but for those who want something which pushes things about as far as they can go in P3D, the FSL offering is the one to beat and so for a look at whether MSFS is capable of matching the best you can get elsewhere, it's probably the comparison which would be the most telling. March 14, 20215 yr Author Sure. I will take the 149 $ donation to do so. Edit : BTW, I guess you haven't watch the video as I address this very point in the first 5 min of the video. It's all good. March 14, 20215 yr Even using online flightplanners ie http://onlineflightplanner.org/ to calculate company routes saving and dropping in their folder then loading into the FCU as co route the aircraft still cant follow managed to follow the flight plan to which is just bizarre. Now whether its P3D v5 that's causing it or needs P3D V4 to work this feature I've no idea but your moneys better spent as Chock suggested. Yes i have the A319/A320/A330 and non can follow any plan on managed mode even advancing it in the dir button in V5 A320NEO in FS2020 with FBW mod tracks to flight plan perfectly and has an inbuilt planner that loads into the FCU. No competition. Edited March 14, 20215 yr by 40track
March 14, 20215 yr I think this comparison as the current state of FBW makes no sense. There are things are missing like hydraulics, custom VNAV, custom flightplan. I would honestly do the comparison at least when they merge the custom autopilot, custom engine model, custom ATHR and custom flightplan into the dev branch which I think is not far AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
March 14, 20215 yr I agree with the above, ones a completed payware addon, whilst the other is a work in progress which is still expanding in it's complexity. Probably fairer to compare both later in the year. AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive
March 14, 20215 yr The Flybywire version has one huge advantage: it doesn't fall out of the sky as soon as your fps drop below 18. Flybywire is a dedicated team, Aerosoft, on the other hand, specializes, in mediocre, middle of the road airplane addons, geared towarrds the average simmer, who isn't really all that interested in systems fidelity. Nothing wrong with that. Just completely different design philosophies. I enjoyed the video because it reminded me of why I don't miss P3D much. Edited March 14, 20215 yr by Ricardo41

Nope, I watched it, and liked it too, but of course the video still doesn't compare the FSW one. 🙂 It's expensive I agree, but that one is the one to try and beat. I know the AVSIM community is a little more experienced but if you are new to flight simming and MSFS, you might think the A32NX is pretty great. I can tell you that because this is what I hear all the time in the MSFS discord. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
