This is just an early announcement that Wednesday March24's flight will start at CYCD, Nanaimo airport, land at CAM3, a very challenging airstrip at the side of a gravel quarry, and continue across the Juan de Fuca Strait into northern Wahington state.

For MSFS, a couple of custom airports are recommended:

- CYCD:  https://flightsim.to/file/9479/cycd-nanaimo-airport

- CAM3:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/vmx0fwrudby1lkc/cam3.zip?dl=0

Just in case you wonder what CAM3 looks like from the air, here is a 2015 picture;

I am having second thoughts about this, the P149 or Arrow may be better choices..

:unsure:

Thanks Bert for the flightplan. A possible Arrow Flight?

BTW: What a likeable rendition by JustFlight. Lots of attention to detail in the systems and to fidelity in the flight model. The pictured
N2496X livery by JMAviation is taken from a 1985 Warrior II (including, as of now, the cowling label). I'll be delighted to fly this aircraft with you over your own neighborhood, Bert.

When are visiting hours? Will you take flowers and a bunch of grapes?

It obviously ran into one of those Asobo taxiway lights!

The prop is still serviceable!

There is a longer story about that 2018 incident in Massachusetts. The Warrior has fixed gear, so after losing one wheel assembly the subsequent landing was necessarily with one gear down. Would it have been safer if N2496X had been a retractable gear Arrow instead?

Happily, the scratches buffed right out.

I would think that a controlled gear-up landing with the engine shut-off in time on a grass surface would be a bit easier to do. And the damage could be less as well.
