March 26, 20215 yr Here just after starting MSFS I got a window with a message that there is an update in the MS store. I clicked OK, then the MS store opened and the update was downloaded and installed. Then MSFS continued and the Installation Manager asked if I would dL the update. After OK the installation went smooth. MSFS continued and went smoothly into the GUI. I may have issues when flying but updating goes always supersmooth 😄 https://www.dropbox.com/s/f9q3qn9urnusziy/Foto 26-03-2021 20 38 44.jpg?dl=0 Edited March 26, 20215 yr by GSalden 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
March 26, 20215 yr I've just completed a pre-update flight, approaching 76T Runway 35 from due south My usual 30fps was down to a stuttering 20fps 15 miles out and dropped to 3fps from the 10 mile mark right through until I landed. Never flown there before so I had to see it to believe it! Now to install the update... I stayed at 19/20fps right up until shutdown so it's looking good so far.👍 I get a fixed 30fps most places at 1440p so it's still slow, but it was stutter-free. Woo hoo! That was great news. I have not seen any sign of stutters so far around Sedona, Ariz., frame rates are right up there, if anything a little better than before 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Better still, I found out why I was only getting 20fps on both the pre- and post-update flights - somehow, my V-Sync framelock had been changed to 20fps from the 30fps it should be. With that corrected, I maintained a constant 25fps.🙂 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
March 26, 20215 yr Took a flight into KDFW Fort Worth. 25fps until I was a couple of miles from the runway, when it dropped to a smooth 16fps. Considering I have the overall slider at Ultra when the sim recommends I use High, I can be pleased with that. March 26, 20215 yr That's comforting to hear. March 26, 20215 yr Well, if past patch releases are anything to go by... It definitely feels like the Aboso “A” team are working on the upcoming Xbox release. The “B” team is working on DX12 implementation. The “C” team is working on the World Updates and Regions and the “D” team is working on bug patches, missing incomplete content and general patches... With each letter appropriately reflecting the quality and priority of the tasked team of course! Edited March 26, 20215 yr by Kilo60 Chris Camp
March 26, 20215 yr I hope they put more teams on DX12 soon, but that's just me. I'm thinking stutters, pauses to load scenery, rounded hills, funky clouds will all be driven into excile by the DX12 wizards! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
