Majestic Q400 Problems

Featured Replies

Hello - Today I attempted to take a flight in the Q400 in P3dv5, and I am having some major issues. First, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but still no success. I am wondering if v5.1 broke something. For starters, when I load the plane, FMS #1 and #2 start up by themselves, and at the same time FMS #2 gets stuck in allign mode and I can’t do anything. At this point, I can not continue to get the plane setup for flight. Then, the last two times I loaded the plane I has a CTD. Something is definitely wrong, but I have no idea how to fix it. I haven’t flown the Q400 in several months so I didn’t realize there were issues until today. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Cheers, Pete

It's working just fine with 5.1 HF1 here.  The only problem I had was caused by the combo of the Q400 and FFTF Dynamic, which was crashing the sim when FFTF started to work, right at liftoff for me with the program set to change the FFTF based on altitude.  If you're using FFTF Dynamic and have it set to trigger based on frame rate, it could happen pretty much at any time.

I had this problem. I started FFTF AFTER the sim was started and had the Q400 loaded. I have not experienced a CTD since. BTW I Use "based on frame rate" exclisively (I was using "based on altitude" under 8000' as well) and found the frames to be more consistent.

I have tried everything, there must be something corrupting the plane but I just don't know what it is.

It should be where you can download your file.

I bought this from Just Flight and downloaded the latest installer. I didn't notice any additional files.
