April 25, 20215 yr Hi, I have been comparing the trailer to my experience in the Sim. Not sure if I have a problem with my installation but the Sim doesn't look like the trailer or the splash screen. The buildings look nowhere near as detailed in the trailer or the splash screen - as an example, all the roofs look basic rather than being detailed with plant/machinery and the road textures are very poor. I do have the France/Benelux update installed. Sorry, I have tried to a screenshot but have not been able to do so for some reason. Can anyone else post what their sim looks like viewed from the Arc de Triomphe splash screen location - this would help me. Thanks.

April 25, 20215 yr Author That's, great. Thanks. Mine doesn't look as good as that at 4k so I am not sure what's going on. What's really noticeable is the roofs on mine just have no detail and general textures much worse. Also, how do you insert photos, I haven't been able to.?

April 25, 20215 yr Just a hunch. Did you actually install WU4? There is a flaw/quirk with World Updates.. Most think when you launch the sim and it checks for updates and installs them that the World Update was installed. You can drag them from the directory on your machine to the field at the bottom of the contribution composition. ("Drag files here to attach".) Alternatively, there is a "choose files" option. Afterwards, they will be shown there with a "+" sign which inserts the corresponding picture into the text. It was about a 5gb update in the market place. Couldn't find anything else once this was done.

You could also try deleting content.xml and see if that fixes things.. Just trying to prevent you having having to do a full reinstall. We had a new person to MSFS in a MP flight and he was not aware you had to download the World Updates from the MarketPlace. It's good info to have for some people. Glad the OP had already done so! But some people are not aware of it? Just like stupid me thought aircraft ( 3rd party ) were an automatic install, NOT 🙂 NO wonder that CRJ update never worked 🙂 Can't work if you don't install it! Not just the marketplace. That just "purchases" the world update (even though it is free), it does not install it. Basically the marketplace just gives you the ability to get a digital licence for the update which you can then install (or not) as you see fit.
