June 8, 20214 yr New driver install? Which driver version are you using? Have you tried a new p3d.cfg and restoring P3D settings to default ?

Correct, just delete existing and it will build a new one during P3D restart. start from the recommended default and then tweak slowly to your liking, bit by bit, be sure to record the changes and/or create different profiles. Keep us posted, hope things work out BTW, congratulations on the new card 🙂
June 8, 20214 yr Good idea to clear the shader cache as well. That note was posted July 2020, specifically for the Pilot Edition of the Q400 Ok we have pinpointed an issue within the Q400 PILOT edition x64 that would cause the Q400 to CTD. We have made available a temporary patch "dll rev. 2" which will be available via the USER AREA on the Majestic Software website. This is ONLY for PILOT edition users using P3D v4.5 and v5 PRO users still experiencing CTDs kindly advice via a thread related to CTDs in v4.5 & v5 The Majestic Team.
June 9, 20214 yr Author Thanks for that, Given that I only bought it 3 weeks ago one would think the update would have been included! Travelling next couple of days so will try and let you know the result soon.

Loading a non-default acft as part of your default flight is generally considered a no-no, as is switching from one advanced add-on to another (or reloading the same one). All the ESP-based sims--FS9/FSX/P3D--are finicky when it comes to how default variables are loaded/initialized. If your default flight is an add-on acft, that might explain the problems you're having. As far as a CTD when switching from or reloading the Q400 (and changing liveries entails reloading)--that's a known idiosyncrasy of the sim and not uncommon at all. June 11, 20214 yr Author Well things did not go well. Downloaded file from Majestic, Had trouble finding the .dll file and think I deleted the wrong one, then installed the new one in the same location. /simobjects....airplanes/dash8 from memory. Restarted the sim ...Dash 8 "Error config.dll is missing - re install as administrator to fix this problem" No internet on flight pc until later as bluetooth dongle not works so can't register key codes. Can someone advise as to the data path for this and location of the existing .dll.
June 12, 20214 yr I have installed the Dash but find no config.dll file. I will make a guess that the missing file is SimObjects\Airplanes\mjc8q400\ini\mjc84.ini. I have sent you a PM.
June 13, 20214 yr Author Here is the fix instructions from Majestic Q400 PILOT edition x64 version 1.021 rev 2 dll fix This patch fixes the authentication problem in the original dll. Please utilize it only if getting a CTD or erroneous system functions in your Q400 PILOT edition x64 version 1.021 Installation: 1. Using Windows Explorer, open the following path from within your Prepar3D root location \SimObjects\Airplanes\mjc8q400\panel 2. unzip the included mjc84_main.dll overwriting the existing file Needless to say did not work, will be looking for a refund. If a fault was detected in June last year, why is a downloaded file of May this year not have the fix included?
