July 26, 20214 yr This is from the Rex website. If the Zinertek textures really does not use mipmap textures, then it will definitely affect performance especially in larger airports. From my usage so far of the Rex textures, I see no performance difference from default. PC- AMD Ryzen 7800X3D, 64gb 6400mhz RAM, Nvidia RTX4090

I am using Rex, VERY successfully and Rex has been very responsive in answering any questions. _________________________________________________________________________ Bob "roadwarrior" Werab Config: ASUS Prime Motherboard, RYZEN 5, 32 GB Ram, Radeon RX5700 XT, 2 TB SSD
July 27, 20214 yr Not sure where this comparison is coming from, but I see no performance penalty with the Zinertek textures. Choosing between the two, IMHO, comes down to a matter of taste.

I see Rex alter the surrounding dirt/sand/grassy areas but not the runways (only tarmac). I take it this is a No then, think I'll pass on either of them as I land on grass/dirt runways all the time.
