Sudden Weather/Wind changes

Featured Replies

Right after SU5 I have been noticing some very strange behaviour in the way Live weather is injected into the sim. Sudden wind changes that feel like a turbulence, but it's actually massive wind direction and speed change right after being downloaded. Winds change from something like 2 knots tailwind to 30 knots headwinds and then suddenly back to 2 knots. Have you noticed the same?

The only time ive seen this affect the aircraft is when using the CRJ and it was there before SU5.

Yup. Have on rare occasions encountered this. Before SU5 though. What is even more annoying is the wildly fluctuating temperatures. At 20k feet the temps go from +20 to -20 every now and then..

Yesterday on a testflight with FBW, wind changed more often from 9kts to 60kts within a second and temperature of 30 degrees in FL330. 😂

Unflyable for airliner pilots.

Asobo what‘s up with Meteoblue?

Same here this morning, curiously with the FBW A320 too... at low altitude with other aircraft it doesn't happen.

Also, the FBW AC has something strange with the cockpit textures, some light switches not working and the inability to climb past 30,000 ft... I think it needs a patch.

Was glad to see this thread.  I was flying yesterday in the Carenado Seneca at 10,000 feet in the pre-set of scattered clouds and decided to switch to live weather.  About 20 seconds later the plane flips over and I get the message my flight was terminated due to stress on the aircraft.  Never happened before.  I'm guessing I got hit with one of these 60mph "bursts".
