How to avoid useless liveries

Featured Replies

I have the DELUXE edition, so I don't have the Boeing 787, Cessna Logitude, Cirrus SR22, ...

Nevertheless, the automatic update downloads and installs livery for these aircraft. Even if I remove them manually to make some free space on my SSD, MSFS reloads them as an update at the next start.
How can avoid this?

It is ridiculous, why am I forced to have liveries for aircraft that I don't have?!?

Any idea is greatly welcome.
Thank you.

i removed them via the content manager and they stay removed.

try that?

Xbox Aviators Club liveries : please not a mandatory download - Community / General Discussion - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

Only the Xbox Aviators Club liveries should be redownloaded. We obtained in June that the Aviators Club one would not be. So my new request.

Yes, it worked, thank you for the info 🙂

Pretty sure they are on your system for your own benefit,   in order to provide more variety to your sim experience when they are used by other pilots or the AI.

Of course,  there are other options.

No, I don't think this can work. If another pilot flies the 787, I will never see a 787 as I don't have the aircraft installed in my sim.

Are there any issues with removing these really bad liveries from MS that I don't want (not the aircraft)?

Really bad is an exaggeration. I think they look great.

But to answer your question no, you just don't see other players using them if you have MP enabled.

I wish I could remove them from be listed in the content manager for good.

OK, let me ask if anyone else is seeing this...

After SU5, I used Content Manager to uninstall all the Aviator Club liveries for the default aircraft.  There was ONE addon listed as only Aviators Club.  But SU5 seems to have added separate "XBox Aviator Club" livery entries for each default aircraft too.  So now my Content Library shows (33?) uninstalled Aviator Club liveries.

But in the MSFS aircraft selection, there is STILL an Aviator Club livery shown for every default aircraft.  Why?  There are no "Installed" Aviator Club entries in my Content Library now.  They all show as "Uninstalled" since I did that, so I would expect those liveries to not be a selection in the aircraft selection screens anymore.

It's possible to swap your default livery textures with custom textures.      The more default skins you have,  the more variety you can add to the sim.

Should be able to replace the aviators club textures as well.  /so they become a useful asset..  more slots.    Not sure though,   but I'm gonna try.
