August 3, 20214 yr Is it possible to define a window in MSFS to access the desktop while flying in VR (HP Reverb G2)? August 3, 20214 yr Yes but you have to use SteamVR and with that i use the OVRToolkit app which is excellent, I've but seen another way to do it with just WMR yet (please post anyone of you know how). Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)
August 3, 20214 yr I've seen youtube vids of folks doing it in games just using the WMR portal application, but the text is hard to read. I've brought browser windows into msfs as a floating vr window (using the wmr portal), but i was doing minimal mouse clicking around in the window. Other than that I find it perfectly usable If you want to try it, use windows key + y to get mouse to work in the wmr cliff house, open whatever you want in a window, and then click on the "follow me" icon on the window. It then appears in your headset while in games. Follow me icon in red circle below I think you can only move the window around in vr using the hand controllers which is a bit of a pain Edited August 3, 20214 yr by dogmanbird
April 10, 20224 yr I know this is an old thread, but is it possible to resize this window before or after you bring it into VR?
April 11, 20224 yr yes it is, with the controllers but there is a limit so you cannot make it too small.. I put them on the ceiling of the aircraft that keeps it out of my view when I am just flying. Andy Home Cockpit B737
