I am really anxious for the next update...If I can get my panning on the ground as in the air I will be happy. I get great performance by locking frames to 45 and my GPU never goes above 75% and mostly sits at ~55%. I hope I'll be able to put that slider to ultra/high be able to achieve 45 fps without using a lot more resources.

I have a 32" curved 2K monitor. But even if I had a super fast computer system, then I would still not trade this monitor for a 4K 27" monitor with G-sync.

Everybody sees it different. But for me the most important spec is the screen size, and bigger is better. I'm sorry I got a 32" 2K monitor, should have got a bigger 2K monitor.

I would say get a really big screen monitor above all else. Then if you can afford it, get a computer and monitor capable of 4K in the same size. Then if you can afford it get a computer and monitor capable of 4K with G-sync in the same screen size.

I remember giant big screen TV's before TV was broadcast in HD, only in SD. Walk into any Las Vegas Casino during Sunday and NFL games were on in the sportsbook. Lots of normal CRT screens showing games on 50" TV's. And in the middle one really huge projection screen at maybe 15 feet wide. It looked much less sharp with SD on such a large screen, compared to SD on the 50" screen. But everybody crowded into the chairs where you could watch that much bigger but much less sharp screen, rather than the same football game on a much sharper but much smaller 50" screen. The crowds preferred size over resolution.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I had a 27" 4k monitor and I went down to a 1440p monitor and it was the best decision ever. at 27" you really don't see a HUGE difference. I get good performance and very nice quality. Now if MSFS was able to take full advantage of my CPU and GPU, then I would rethink 4k 🙂

Some of those American 'Big Box Stores', e.g. Bestbuy seem to demonstrate computer monitors and TV screens with garish over colored display adjustments, instead of going for a natural looking image. Anything to attract attention I guess. I might well change my mind if I could live with 4K for awhile.
