Flying tips are driving me crazy

Featured Replies

I've checked my menu and from what I can find, there are no "tips" checked anywhere.  Where is the magic switch that turns off things like "takeoff tips" and "taxiing above 20 mph limit", etc.  I've been through every aspect of the Options screen and nothing seems obvious for turning these tips OFF!

It's on the same page as the "tool tips".......... not at computer to check exactly

I've been through that page, but I'll look again.  If you find the exact location, please let me know.

Stan

You want to go into Assistance settings. They're all in that list.  Tooltips, flying tips, the lot.

Oh, OK.  I was looking under the OPTIONS menu.  I suppose then that turning these choices to "Hard" rather than "Easy" or "Medium" would essentially turn the tips off.

Thank you.

Hey Stan,

Yes, that's right. Although if you break the list of options down to the granular level (collapse the list), you can see the individual settings (On, off, etc), rather than the 'Hard' and 'easy' groups, which affect multiple settings.

I agree, they are a huge PITA and I have them permanently turned off. The fact that they are enabled by default shows that MS is really gunning for the newbies to introduce them to the basics.
