AIG AI Manager/Taffic help....

Featured Replies

I had no traffic  and  found it was because I was not seeing all options in my AI controller UI. I had to expand the window and then saw the inject button.

I commend you for returning and stating how you solved your problem, some people  just say "NVM"

So I am trying to install Alpha India Manager and Traffic Controller for flight sim 2020 on my pc. I installed the game through the xbox gamepass app and after extracting the zip files and running the manager as admin, it asks me to select fs version on the alpha india manager, however when i open the drop down menu to select the version of flight simulator, there is no options to select and i have tried reinstalling numerous times but i do not know what the problem is. I am running a lenovo legion 5i pro with rtx 3050 for laptop and i7 11th gen processor. I am running windows 11 os, and i can't seem to find a fix for this. There was something about a 256 bit limit or something the first time i installed ai manager and it went away and it didnt work at all so I dont know what to do.

Seems like it does not detect MSFS in the registry. You can try to add " -MSFS " (without "") after the AIManager shortcut (right click, properties) and see if it starts.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

So what would I do for this? Sorry, I'm not very adept with all of this stuff. It's fairly new to me.

edit:  Just realized that I just answered a question from 2021.  Oh, well. 😁

You can see the file path in this shot.  If you answer "yes" when the AIG Manager prompts you to disable the default AI,  the manager will rename "trafficAircraft.bgl" by adding the suffix ".aigoff" to the filename.

To revert the change,  just rename the traffic bgl to it's original name.  The bgl file basically contains the AI routes and schedules.

There's also a version of the default traffic bgl that removes the airline traffic,  but keeps the GA traffic.  AIG doesn't include GA traffic yet.

Is this the part you're talking about?

Here is a time linked link to that part of the install.

There is an app which will find your community folder,   Bobby mentions the app in his video.

You have a shortcut for the AIM, right click, properties, than in the "target" line add -MSFS2020 at the end, so it looks like this at the end of the line: .....\AIGTech - AI Manager.exe" -MSFS2020

So are you talking about the folder for the AIM or the actual AIM program within the folder?

I finally got AIG to work fine. I did struggle hard, but airports are now populated, airlines and types are generally correct, liveries are gorgeous and ground traffic is at times hilarious -- very much like herding cats 😛

Worth the effort(s)

Not taking anything away from AGI TC but I got a bit frustrated with the hit/miss traffic loading/not loading so I eventually settled on using not traffic controller but Real AI turned on. Gets all the traffic the same way pretty much. Still get odd Maverick style fly-by's going on though.

about the actual program, the .exe. You can create a shortcut for it and then add that to the "target" line.

Oh so what I did was I opened the file without running as admin and it actually opened this time and took me to the correct spot, however it doesnt have un option for an updates tab.

I don't understand what you are saying... I think you should jump over to the AIG discord to get support over there, they'll usually respond within minutes.
