World Tour 2022

Hello all!

I was thinking of starting some type of world tour with a GA aircraft and I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in joining? I am open to any ideas as I think this could be fun 🙂

Also, which airplane do you think would be best to use? G36 or TBM 930?

Cheers,

Clement

Very nice. I did the same when the sim came out. Started from Blackbushe where I learned to fly & took the TBM round the world. I did switch to the longitude for some ocean legs as it wasn't too much of a switch with the G3000s in both. Thinking about repeating the experience in something slower...

Join me on some legs if you want 🙂 I have been loving the TBM and I think it's the perfect aircraft and it's pretty fast AND has de-icing. I'll be flying tonight at about 8:30pm EDT/0030Z.

You sure seem in love with that plane at the moment 🤣

5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

Currently working on something like this myself, albeit slowly.

Started in Quillayute, WA. Decided I can use any single prop plane that is suitable, so it's been mostly the C172 and the JustFlight Arrow except for particularly high altitude airports or excessive time over open water. I'm doing flights with an average time of an hour, mostly VFR and meandering wherever the scenery takes me but with major cities/sights as must-see.

Covered huge parts of the US by travelling north to south in a large W shape onto Canada and crossed the Atlantic to eventually get to the UK, went down through France and Spain and the Mediterranean Islands then south east France and Monaco and into Italy, up into the Alps and so on.

It's been very enjoyable. However, currently on pause due to the state of live weather.

Currently circumnavigating the world in a mix of Cessna and Piper aircraft.

My Default Setup; MSFS, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster Hotas X, TrackIR, Samsung Galaxy Tab, JustFlight Piper Arrow. Simworks Quest Kodiak 100.

Wishlist; Honeycomb Bravo, Honeycomb Charlie.

1:400 Airline Model Collector.
