If you recall Reid never did anything for the airport and was passive (which hurt) in promoting the new terminal expansions. He was all about high speed rail to SoCal for years (decades) yet McCarran actually fully promoted and helped quite a bit to capture federal funding for the international airport in Vegas. At best Reid should be the name of maybe north las vegas or the boulder city airports. Big disappointment for me at least, being a native.
