In case anyone is using the TDS GTNXi - and the Carenado Seneca V.

Places the screen into the cockpit.  Still requires use of the popup - but at least you can navigate on it now.  Latest GTN version "talks" to the sim's autopilot and shows CDI deviation on the HSI etc.

Nice. do not have that plane but are you aware of this mod. Absolutely love it. It has replaced all my clunky Nxi G1000 units. Of course I own PMS50's GTN750.

I have a problem with the TDi plus mod - the atc voices stop working.  Other than that love using it after your recommendation a week or so ago.

Interesting.... I don't use ATC at all - have you tried asking at their support forum?

Sorry, I meant the Metar broadcasts are silent when tuned in.

  What did you mean by still requires use of the popup?    Will the GTN drive the HSI and AP if not popped out, or what?

I'm guessing that you can't interact with the GTN in the cockpit and you have to use the pop-up for that.

Correct.  The gauge is more advanced than when it was first released though.  Your HSI CDI needle will show course deviation and the AP FD bars will show descent profile for an approach with lpv mins.  They are still working on actually seeing a glide path on the HSI.  I believe that is a sim bug right now.  I haven't been able to get a LPV GP on any of my analogue aircraft.

The only analogue planes I can remember seeing LPV GP working on are the JF PA28.

I should ask them what their magic secret is and whether they would be willing to share it with other Des.

The Sim has a Bug that if you are on a GPS approach but you have the ILS Frequency loaded for the same runway you will "appear" to get the  Vertical Deviation on the HSI and VOR ...  Had me chasing my tale when I swore the WT G1000 NXi was writing that value.

That's the old one for use with the screen relay program.  Really, I hope that Carenado will update all of their aircraft with TDS eventually.  I do have a working version though PM me for details.
