[1 Jan 2022] - RAAS for MSFS Released!

1 January 2022--

Happy new year everyone!

We just released RAAS for MSFS!  This is our 3rd MSFS product!

In case you're wondering what RAAS does, watch this:

We've put RAAS on special for anyone who owned RAAS previously.

RAAS for MSFS is at 50 percent off.  No coupon code required.

As for the release so far:

The release has gone pretty smooth.  If using Navigraph, ensure the "Navigraph Data Center" is not running in your taskbar.  You only need it for updating your AIRAC database.  It doesn't need to be constantly running.

We're doing more tests to work around that issue.

You can see the active RAAS users on our live on-line map:

Legend:

T = Pushback Express actively running.

Airplane Shape = FS2Crew: FBW A32NX running

R = RAAS Running

The map only shows FS2Crew MSFS products, not FSX or P3D products.

FYI, if you have any issues with RAAS, uninstall Navigraph, then re-install Navigraph.

Some users had a CTD we now think is due to a corruption in the Navigraph database.

A clean re-install of Navigraph made the problem go away.

Update...

Ensure the Navigraph Data Center is not running in the background.  Turn it off in the taskbar.

You only need to it updating your Navigraph database.  It shouldn't be constantly running.

It seems to be conflicting somehow with our runway generator.

I use navigraph on my ipad so no problem! 🙂

Bryan, I owned RAAS Pro for P3D, but only see the 50% off coupon. Is this correct? BR

There is no coupon code.  It's straight 50 percent off.

We stopped using coupon codes - some people would get confused by them.

So we made it easier and just applied the 50 percent off directly.

Hi Bryan,

first of all Happy New Year 2022 ... but your statement is not correct. The NNC makes more and should be run in the background. It checks the content-file and re-order it, when someone install a 3rd party scenery that the navdata has always the highest priority. Therefore, it is HIGHLY!! recommended to let the app running in the background. The other solution would be, that you start the app after you have installed a 3rd party scenery but that´s error-prone because most of the customer forget this step (this is the knowledge of the past couple of months, what we have made).

Therefore again - the Navigraph Navdata Center SHOULD be run in the background ... May I ask, why do you recommend to shutdown the Navigraph Navdata Center? When you see any issue here, please contact us directly. The Navigraph Navdata Center works nearly since 1 year without any issue. Now you release your addon and you recommend to shutdown the NNC without contacting us before.

Thank you very much,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thank you for the post.  It appears Navigraph is constantly saving the "Content.xml" even if nothing has changed.

This can trip up RAAS, and probably any other addon that attempts to read scenery data.

We'll contact you shortly 😉

Cheers,

Hi Bryan,

first of all, thank your very much for the team-work and the extrem professional cooperation in the last couple of days. We have now fixed this issue and have created a new version of the Navigraph Navdata Center (v1.0.5) - from now on, you don´t need to shutdown the NNC and you SHOULD not close it because as I wrote, the NNC does more then offering AIRAC updates - this little tool needs only a few kB in the background but is very helpful to keep the content-file up2date and what is much more important in the correct ordering.

Again, thanks for the whole FS2Crew team for the great work ...

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Do we still need to have Navigraph Simlink open if we have NNC running?

Thank you for the quick update from your team!

Yes. Simlink is for moving maps, NNC is for data updates.
