Challenger 650 interesting RNAV approach

Featured Replies

A round of applause for the Challenger 650.......................

I tried the Palm Springs KPSP RNAV (RNP) Z RWY 13R approach and it was a wonder. Some of you may like to do this interesting and challenging approach.

If you could make a tube of it 🙂

Also any tricky / bad weather Madeira LPMA 05 approaches welcome !!!

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

The autopilot alone is worth the 115$. It is so super  smooth, no twitches or anything like that. The best add-on plane I have ever purchased.

2nd that for sure, its amazing, been flying nothing else since its release, its so immersive, I absolutley love the FBO and walking out to the aircraft, walking into it, closing the door.....just soooo makes the simulation that bit extra special for sure. I will try the palm springs approach for sure 👍

Love it....cant wait for it in XP12!😀👍

I owned XP but never really got into it. This changed drastically after I purchased the CL650, as I am working on getting type rated for a side job I will be taking on soon, I was curious to see how this plane would look like. Well, it is simply amazing! Many have positively commented about this add-on and anyone that is not convinced yet, just check out the developer YT channel, simply amazing! I've flown to PSP quite a few times in my career, always fun there (specially when it's windy, not for the faint of heart). I also suggest trying flying into TRM, lots of Part135 operations there, not towered, a bit of a zoo but also fun, and the approaches are also interesting....

Congrats to the HotStart team for an amazing add-on (I would say the best add-on I have ever used so far in almost 30 years of simming and flying)...

That wonder you can also get for free:

Flying the DCA RNP 19 in the new G1000 NXi

Comment from the makers: We decided to take the NXi for a spin on one of the most demanding approaches for an autopilot: the very snakey and very tight DCA RNP 19. In this video we highlight a bunch of the new features, such as fully coupled VNAV, RNAV with LPV, RF legs, the HSI moving map, and more.

Hi mrueedi,

Thanks for the video link - very interesting. It's totally amazing how the VNAV/LNAV and autopilot work so well. All 0's and 1's - programming masterpieces.

Back in the day..............it was called the River Approach and I was fortunate to be able to fly it in rl. We hand flew it.
