March 4, 20224 yr Now i might have become too spoiled by the great graphics of MSFS, but I havent seen anyone else have the same blurry night lights that i have. (see pic) I have all settings on ultra and terrain level of detail set to 200. Is this something that only I see, or is it a common problem? Closer to the ground I see it more clearly, but on cruise its almost like its not loading in properly. Any help is appreciated 🙂 Edited March 4, 20224 yr by charliearon embed photo

March 5, 20224 yr It's kind of normal...depends how high you are. They use the 'sepia mask' to give a light glow out in the distance and they have improved it since earlier versions. Where are you in that pic? I know there were still some issues in certain areas with desert textures where the mask is still showing up close to your aircraft. March 5, 20224 yr Two possibilities come to mind and I mention it because I tried #1 based on a recent thread about this: Did you possibly urn Sharpen to OFF (0) in User.Cfg? I tried this recently and fortunately I remembered I did it because everything got very blurry and I truly thought something had gone drastically wrong, then remembered I had turned Sharpen to OFF (0). Do you possibly have GeForce Experience running and used the 'Optimize' button for MSFS? If so that just turns sliders way down! Real useful optimization--NOT! March 5, 20224 yr It's normal I'm afraid, just how the night lighting is rendered in MSFS. The astonishing thing is most people think it looks great, or have no idea that it only looks like that above FL150.
March 6, 20224 yr Although there have been some improvements, it still doesn't look very realistic from high altitudes. I flew over Paris last night at 35000 feet and what I saw looked very different from what I see in the sim. What worries the most is that night lighting has disappeared from the wish/bugs list. The last time I saw it in early February it said "fixed". Edited March 6, 20224 yr by Shack95 i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
