Next Issue: Can't hear audio ONLY in aircraft

Featured Replies

I can hear Windows audio from my front jack and rear 3.5mm.  I can hear it in other apps like Chrome for Youtube, I can hear audio in MSFS main menu...  I can even hear the clicks of the TDS GTN Xi when I'm in the aircraft, but I cannot hear anything else.

I've never seen this before.  Windows 11.  Drivers up to date (Realtek audio).  No exclamation points in Device Manager.  I've also tried all those sound ouputs on the list.  Again sound works everywhere else (and it's lovely) but not when I'm flying (except GTN click sounds).

May be related to your problem but for the last few days, output that is set to communication device comes out speakers. Go into MSFS and it's set correctly, also set correctly in W10 sound devices - I have to RE select trhe device and apply and save - then it works. Something is losing my settings in MSFS. This just since WU8.

This happed to me on the first flight I did after the update.  (I'm on Windows 10) No aircraft sounds from my Aerosoft CRJ; but, I could hear sounds from everything else.  I then shut everything down including the computer.  Fired it all back up and it was fixed.  I can't explain it.  Sorry that doesn't help you; but, at least you know it happend to someone else.

Again, all I did what shut everything down, reboot, and all has been good ever since.

Yes it does seem to be a weird bug where I have to go into sound options and click apply.

I had to do that too. Just once. Right after the update. Then the sounds were all there inside and outside.
