StreamDeck XL for P3D

Featured Replies

So my wife got me one of these. I have currently all my stuff going through fsuipc and LINDA with my VRinsight MCP2. I know this should add to that and not replace I presume. It seems like all profiles for it are for MSFS only though on my Google search. Can someone tell me a good place to start with this? Do I need AAO? Not sure where to get started. I only fly the FSL, PMDG type aircraft it that helps.

I would check out this thread.

I have a couple of the XLs--they're handy gadgets.  Fragtality's Pilot's Deck mentioned above allows some pretty sophisticated programming of interactive buttons.  I use mine more as a custom programmable button box for controlling views and a few switches that are hard to get to in busy of critical phases of flight, like the landing light switches, APU start etc that I can't really get to while rolling down the runway/taxiway.  I typically program the buttons to send keystrokes, and then have FSUIPC act on those keystrokes to perform a control, run a lua script, etc.

One tip, though--you need to run the StreamDeck as admin or P3D won't recognize the keystrokes.  That means starting it either manually from a shortcut with "run as admin" set or via an autorun when you start the sim, as Windows won't let it run with admin permissions if configured to start at boot.

May I also suggest https://github.com/Fragtality/PilotsDeck

This what I use. It even has an FSL profile which you could use, customize, or create your own. It's a very powerful bit of software.

That looks good, does the FSL profile come with the plug-in or is it a separate download?

It's a separate download. If you click on the integration tab it shows all available profiles. The FSL profile is available in the FSL forums download section.

Also if you search pilotsdeck here on the forum you will find the authors original posts. He is very responsive to questions and providing help.

There is also a User Contribution from the Pilot Deck author (Fragtality) in the FSUIPC User Contributions forum
