March 25, 20224 yr I'm in Sailing Club that teaches basic sailing in NY/NJ: www.sailseas.com I used to do a lot of weekend racing including overnight / offshore: 90 mile offshore overnight "warmup" for longer races - Rockway, NY to Point Pleasant back to finish at Sandy Hook. Around Long Island - about 200 miles Martha's Vineyard Race I was mostly jib and spinnaker trim. Now, I'm day sailing in Greenwood Lake, NY and Budd Lake, NJ. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d3_EgkhOYCjXp3_snf4Pow3Tbgm1Z7gk/view?usp=sharing [/img] Edited March 25, 20224 yr by bic 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
March 26, 20224 yr I enjoy outdoor sports but never tried sailing. But I just wanted to say that I see people driving the family car down the highway with what I was told is a HobieCat up on their roof. So apparently you don't need a pickup and trailer to haul them to the lake or ocean! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. March 26, 20224 yr If it's on their roof it's not a Hobie. They require a trailer to carry the boat and mast. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
