SWS Vans RV-14 is delayed

This is what will keep me away from this one, even though I love the developer.  With units like the TDS GTN 750 and WT G1000nxi available, I would not like a poor nav unit.

This is why the TDS GTN is a saving grace - still I'd prefer the analogue.  At any rate, I like SWS and I will buy it to support them.

It literally supports the PMS50 and TDS units and the WT G3X... obviously not the G1000 though.

Ah

I probably misunderstood. Will it be delivered with default avionics component?
Bummer....

I think you did misunderstand. Of course, the real life unit is fantastic. It is the sim unit I was lamenting. Like @ryanbatc said, it would have been good to have steam gauges with the GTN. Otherwise the airplane looks great.

But lets be real, even the WT G3X is a minimal improvement to default at this point.

y so negative...

it's not like we can expect every developer to code an entire avionics suite for their aircraft... its just not realistic or practical. Maybe one day a super advanced unit will come out and people will make it compatible... but it does its job, match it with a 750, and you're MORE than fine honestly.

As long as the 750 works correctly with the PDF, I am OK.

Lets see how well this unit is integrated.. 😉

Meh, not negative... just sayin I am not a big fan of that G3X suite in the sim... hopefully it gets some love. Love the RV14 though.

As far as I've tested, it works just fine? its in the cockpit, its clickable with all its functions.

Just to verify, on the test page, do the HSI needles and flags show correctly?

For an LPV approach, does the glideslope indicator show the glidepath?

I hope the answer is: YES 🙂
