E.g. when a WU brings a new Asobo airport, but you still want to use the 3rd party one, you have to delete and rebuild the content.xml (or manually move the order inside the .xml). Otherwise can be problems like significant performance loss or CTDs. It doesn't hurt so it should be one of the first things to do when something seems wrong with the simulator. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

This won't affect any user settings or things like that, right?

Only thing to keep in mind: If you use navigraph, you have to remove->reinstall the nav data afterwards (that is: after deleting content.xml->starting MSFS->exiting MSFS), because it has to be at the end of the list to ensure it does not get overwritten by other nav data. I'm not a Navigraph user, but couldn't Navigraph take care of this by proper naming their files? As far as I know, content.xml indexes sceneries in alphabetical order (as does X-Plane). Otherwise the next scenery just get's added at the end of the list, you can check it yourself. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. May 3, 20224 yr I rebuild contents.xml every time I start the sim using the corresponding Addon Linker functionality, thus I only have complete rebuilds. I do use Navigraph actually. So the steps in order are: 1. Delete content.xml 2. Start MSFS 3. Close MSFS 4. Remove Navigraph 5. Reinstall Navigraph

On another note, do you know why I've got two Navigraph directories in my community folder? I've got a "navigraph-nav-data" and another named "navigraph-nav-database" or something along those lines.
