Is your Community folder empty?  Do you have add-ons in your Community folder? Make sure your Community folder is empty because it could be an add-on that is incompatible with SU9 that is causing the FPS drop.

You can rename your Community folder. Then run MSFS after it is renamed. MSFS will create a new Community folder that is empty.  See if your get your FPS back. If you get your FPS back, it’s one of the add-ons in your Community folder that is not compatible with SU9.

Something is hammering your main thread... besides that, those FPS in the vid do not seem right. Did you once delete the content.xml file? I do it after every update of MSFS, sometimes even after installation of a new scenery...

Process Monitor  will tell you what it is.  I think you may have several issues, but CPU is definitely where I'd start.  Have you deleted rolling cache, if you use it?

I followed the steps from Q8Pilots video on SU9 - limiting my fps to 36 in Nvidia Control Panel has significantly improved my performance amongst other settings.

Your issue could be an isolated case, as a 30fps drop is quite significant to the point I think more than half the community would be shouting about it. Try a few tips in the video below, it may or may not help you.

Rolling cache is in the data sub-section of the general options menu.  You don't have to install ProcMon - it's standalone app.  You'll likely need to investigate how to setup filters in ProcMon, but once you do it's a very powerful tool.

If you have premium or deluxe version make sure both are updated.  If the gaming UI window pops up afterward choose older profile on this machine.

Means you had way more than 100 FPS prior SU5? For sure...
