Here's a question, if you happen to read it (not a big deal if not): will the file format be the same for customized procedures and checklists as it was for the FSX NGx? In other words, will I just be able to drop in the files I created for that version? Just curious, I'm psyched either way. It's a very relevant question. Unlike with P3D or FSX where there is an understood naming convention, with MCE creating a separate folder for each variant, based on the name of the folder in \Simobjects\Aircraft\ folder, in MSFS, we are simplifying as follows. All PMDG 737 variants will now have their default flows in \My Documents\Multi Crew Experience\Myvoicescripts\Copilot\Aircraft\PMDG B737 MSFS\ folder You won't see your custom flows initially. You can either use the <Import> scropt button to copy them to the new <PMDG B737 MSFS> folder, or simply manually copy and paste them from wherever they happen to be. May 21, 20224 yr Commercial Member Just to inform everyone, the usual support e-mail address is currently down, therefore, forum is probably the best place to post right now, Sent too many invitations all at once ......... which probably got the address flagged as Spam.e-mail Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
May 21, 20224 yr Thanks! Took a test line flight last night, plus a V1 cut profile... all working pretty well! (I did figure out where the custom checklists and scripts go.) Only bug I have to report is that the MCE FO isn't calling V1. He calls 80kts, Rotate, V2 and Positive Rate, but misses V1. Minor point; I assume it happens because V1 and Rotate calls are so close together. I do wish that with "strict checklist discipline" (or whatever that option is called) selected, that it would cut out more (all) extraneous verbiage, at least on custom voxscript stuff. For instance, I have a voxscript that starts with me saying "verify Lnav", and the only action specified for MCE is to respond "Lnav verified"... but he always says something like "ok, sure. Beginning flow... Lnav verified." 😉 But customization of this nature is always fiddly and the average user using the Boeing procedures that come with MCE would never encounter these quirks. Overall, an airliner of this quality, in a sim of this quality, with the voice interactions of MCE, is really a hard to belive experience in immersion. 👍 Andrew Crowley

What I do is put a - into the box dictating what the F/O initially says to confirm he's about to execute the script. This way he won't say anything and jump straight to the notify= I specified in the script. This is what the text file looks like, there's only the - in the reply section which mutes the script confirmation. May 21, 20224 yr Check AC meter for sticky "test" function. Check IRS for "align" function. For some reason I can't get align from MCE yet can if I do manually? Otherwise it's a spot on first officer! In a spot on simulation of the 737. PMDG and MCE are to be congratulated on creating a wonderful introduction to realistic company flying! Well done both! No other companies have this level of accuracy!
May 22, 20224 yr Two more: 1. A command involving landing lights only affects the retractable landing lights. The fixed lights are not turned on or off. 2. MCE doesn't recognize that flaps 40 is a legitimate flaps setting on the 737. Overall, working good... and Threegreen's suggestion works well. Andrew Crowley
May 22, 20224 yr Commercial Member Thanks all for your feedback. Keep reporting overlooked or malfunctioning items. Another 10 days is roughly needed to iron out those before release and you'll help us speed up the process by flying the thing, something that is time consuming. It's also OK to tease the other lot Now, if stearmandriver could redo the V1 cut video of some years ago with a quality TTS voice reading QRH and all that while he handles the plane and coordinates troubleshooting with the FO, that would be the icing on the cake. Thank you Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

I can't seem to find much for Win 10 and up since they already come with a couple. It's a shame the built-in human recorded voices, despite coming at a heavy 4600+ recordings per pack, cannot follow when things get very complex verbiage wise (user custom speech). Luckily there is th option for TTS as well Cereproc https://www.cereproc.com/ Ivona or others https://nextup.com/ivona/ There are many others if you google "TTS voices" Important: For MCE, you need to ensure the voices are 32 Bit (or buy only voices that come with both 32 & 64 bit variants). I suggest you wait for the next patch before shooting the vid. Thanks Edited May 22, 20224 yr by FS++ Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
May 22, 20224 yr Cereproc looks good... looks like you can buy individual natural-sounding voices for less than $30. Might grab one of those. Andrew Crowley

May 23, 20224 yr Just to clarify, the PMDG 737 MSFS folder will host the same set of scripts for all variants, correct?
May 23, 20224 yr Couple more bugs noted on the PMDG 737 in MSFS: 1. On a Before Start check, there is the item: Seat Belt -- On. MCE doesn't seem to properly recognize that the switch is in the On position. When I respond to his challenge with "on", he questions me twice, then says "seat belt - Now On" as if he'd turned it on for me... but it was on all along and he never moves the switch. 2. On the Before Start check, I have the item "Altimeters -- as REQUIRED." My understanding is that setting the "as required" response allows you to use generic verbiage like "set" to respond when running the checklist, and that is how it works for other items. He doesn't like it in this case though... he ignores "set" twice, and then tells me the expected response is "as required." I could just change the expected response to "set", but mention it in case it's useful in a broader sense. Andrew Crowley
