Fenix A320 N1 doesn't follow the position of thrust lever

Featured Replies

Hi, i think i found a bug where the N1 doesn't want to follow the position of the thrust lever (blue circle), so when in cruise, it makes the aircraft entered the red pole (overspeed) (even when autothrust on, managed speed). It happens on every flights. I use the steam version. Until now I cant fly properly, because i cant leave the cockpit, otherwise my aircraft will go overspeed.

Best to report it on the discord as they will be able to confirm or not.

already sent a support ticket and discord yesterday, but maybe someone in here know how to fix this or have same issue.

Not an expert but why does your navigation display say mach on top and on the bottom it says it's trying to hold .833. I think it's overspeeding because of that? From a quick search it says cruising speed should be around mach .78

> edit: are your thrust levers set to CL and is your airspeed in managed mode? Maybe worth checking if you have another controller conflicting with the throttle controls.

Just going to ask the obvious here: You do disconnect the Autthrottle before moving back the throttle lever or do you simply move the lever back?

I think you need to watch some tutorials. You don't set N1 on the A320, not even on TO and certainly not in cruise.
Also you have A/THR active, as one can easily read on the PFD, so all the blue thing does is indicate your throttle position.

.833 there, is the indicated airspeed, not the one that i set. And yes, i already check the thrust lever is in CL position, and a/thr on and ap on, everything is in managed mode. And I only use TCA sidestick, theres no other device.

I already disconnect the a/thr before i moved it, i know how to do manual thrust.

dont mean to brag, but I'm an a320 rated IRL, so i know how to operate this bird hehe. I know you dont adjust it manually, but in this case, I just want to show you guys that the n1 is not behave as it should be, if you are in a manual thrust, the green needle on the N1 should be following the blue circle (the position of the thrust lever) but as you can see in the picture, it didnt follow the blue circle. Thanks for your reply tho.

So the thrust does reduce, but not to the blue circle? Is that what you are saying? Could be a calibration/throttle issue? I will try it now, give me 5 mins,

Ah you mean you want to limit the thrust range by retarding the throttle when in A/THR mode? Well haven't tried that yet (why would you do that anyway?). Does nothing happen at all or does the thrust reduce but just not to the blue circle?

no, i did it on manual thrust not in A/THR on. Because when I turn the A/THR on, on cruising, the N1 will stuck in this position (see the pic below) and the speed will keep going until it enter overspeed.

I just tried: ATHR off, I can set the blue circle with the throttles and N1 follows perfectly. Not sure what's going on on your side.

I'd say first try a reinstall of the Fenix, and check your control settings in MSFS, could be some double-binding of a throttle axis or god knows what.

already did clean reinstall fenix more than 5x now haha

Check your bindings like mentioned before, save reinstalling the sim to last resort. Make sure there's no other axis assigned to the throttles.

Just a shot in the dark but in the EFB under the FENIX tab did you check FO side as control.  I see your flying from the right seat.  Maybe try from the left seat.
