3080 is a good card but that is overpriced. Are you flying at 4K? Or what’s your monitor resolution? 

no its an older monitor  Thats why I am debating  Probably wont as this sim is driving me crazy already

Question   I go into the default profile for my sim yoke.  I mkae a change It keeps asking me to0 create another profile

 

I swear I use to just change the profile defualt and save it

 

Is there an option I have to click to just use the default.  I know there is arrow key to chose anther profile but I dont jave any

It's gonna take a lot of patience on your part to get thru the setup-part of MSFS, esp. in choosing all the options that you might prefer to start your initial flights.  I found the camera angles, and the new drone feature way more complicated than previous sims.  Moreover, it takes a lot of trial and error to get used to the new systems...   But once you do,  enjoy!

Great card, but not sure about Canadian prices and supply. That exact card is $999.99 USD at my local Georgia, USA Best Buy. What processor do you currently have?

Intel Core I9-9900K  CPU @ 3.6ghz    Currrent I have geforce gtx  1080 card

 

Might just stay with that  until I learn this new sim  Man the interface suck

That cpu can certainly handle any gpu on the market.  Try the 1070 out. Find a good balance with settings where your system is just barley gpu limited in most scenarios.

It's not a bug, but I agree it could have been more intuitive.

Consider these default profiles to be read-only templates. If you change something you have to save these changes under a different name.
MSFS loads the last profile that is used so you don't have to select your custom profile everytime you start the sim.

Your 1070 is not too bad. When I started with MSFS I still had a 1060 and it worked quite well, and the sim has been optimised since. Off course if you can afford a 3080 it will allow you to dial everything up to 11 and still have good framerates.

Don’t try and rush things. Watch a few videos on YouTube that show how to do settings. It will all make sense in a week or two. 

anther question   What mode do you guys fly in     Windows or full screen

With FS2004  i did alt-enter and flew in full screen

It is a toggle. alt-enter will move you in or out..
