AFAIK from thr last dev blog they are working on water colors as well. From previous comments it should be shader based with spatial resolution. Combined with bathymetry, I wonder how it'll compare with ortho water masks. 

At the keynote they did show footage from above then zooming in to a floatplane; it had some tropical water that looked much more vibrant as it should.

Promising if from altitude you manage to see different colors in the water depending on what's on the sea bed 🙂
