May 25, 20224 yr Nice! At first sight it looks like a real photo. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
May 25, 20224 yr The followup tweet is just as promising https://twitter.com/XPlaneOfficial/status/1529471798936588292?cxt=HHwWiMC-2eyf47kqAAAA Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

From previous comments it should be shader based with spatial resolution. Combined with bathymetry, I wonder how it'll compare with ortho water masks. At the keynote they did show footage from above then zooming in to a floatplane; it had some tropical water that looked much more vibrant as it should. Edited May 26, 20224 yr by mtaxp
May 26, 20224 yr Promising if from altitude you manage to see different colors in the water depending on what's on the sea bed 🙂 Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."
